Laguna Hills & Laguna Beach, CA | $20-24/hr DOE | Excellent Benefits | Long-term job Join a well-established ophthalmology practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care throughout Orange County. We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with Ophthalmology experience to support physicians in a fast-paced clinical environment while building a long-term career. What You'll Do Prepare patients for exams and procedures Perform visual acuity and preliminary eye testing Measure intraocular pressure and conduct visual field testing Record patient history and document in the EMR (NextGen preferred) Assist physicians during examinations and procedures Administer eye drops and prepare equipment Provide outstanding patient care and clinical support Float between the Laguna Hills and Laguna Beach offices as needed (mileage reimbursement provided) Qualifications Minimum 1 year of Ophthalmology Medical Assistant experience (Required) At least 1 year of clinical Medical Assistant experience Experience with EMRs (NextGen preferred) Strong communication and computer skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Valid Driver's License Schedule Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM One-hour lunch Occasional travel between two nearby offices during the workday Why You'll Love This Opportunity Direct Hire position with a stable, respected practice Employees with 25-30 years of tenure Employer-paid ophthalmic certification after one year (COA/COT/COMT) Career growth opportunities Mileage reimbursement between offices Comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental & Life Insurance 401(k) + Profit Sharing PTO + Paid Holidays Uniform allowance Flexible Spending Account Free annual eye exams Ready to grow your career in ophthalmology?
