This highly rated optometry practice is looking for an Optometric Assistant/Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has an interest in optometry and would like to work in the field. This position will allow the candidate to receive on the job training and offer room for growth for individuals with long-term interests. This role entails (but not limited to):
  • Greeting patients, data entry, monitoring emails, voicemails, preparing patient charts, obtaining insurance authorizations, scanning documents into EHR system.
  • Operating pre-testing equipment: visual field, auto refractor, retinal screening photos, and transferring data into EHR system prior to the doctor's exam.
  • Sales/Price quoting: learn the product and service offerings of the office and provide price quotes for the patients.
Assist patients with contact lens orders and collection of co-pays. A successful candidate will be a self-starter who is: Reliable, friendly, fast learner, organized, has math skills, multi-tasker, computer literate, logical, and comfortable with sales.
