Job Description
Ophthalmic Technician Advanced Eye Surgeons is looking for a customer service oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join their busy Boca office. The ideal candidate has previous technician experience and is available to work full time hours M-F.
Duties:
- Perform and document medical history review through NextGen EHR system
- Prepare patients for all treatments
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic testing
- Perform a variety of testing such as ultrasounds, fundus photos, OCTs, corneal topography, biometry, visual field, ultrasound, refraction, pressures
- Answer patient phone calls
- Assist physician in the patient flow
- Assist with patient prescriptions
- Clean and Sterilize instruments
- Order medical supplies
- Help with clerical front office duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician; certification a plus!
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Spanish fluency is a plus.
- Professional demeanor and attitude
