• Part-time 20-30 hours per week

• Saturdays required We are a doctor-owned private eye care practice in Gainesville. We're hiring two to three part-time optometric technicians. The technician gets every patient ready to see the doctor: visual acuity, eye pressure, retinal imaging, autorefraction, and entering the results in the chart. You are the first clinical person the patient meets, and the doctor relies on your data to make decisions. No experience or medical background is needed. We will train you. This job fits students planning on optometry, medical, dental, PA, or pharmacy school. This part-time position has launched three of our former employees into becoming doctors, and counting. You get real clinical hours working directly with our doctors who advocate for and strongly recommend hard-working candidates. Technicians who do well can move into optical, which is the higher-paid side of the practice.

What we are looking for:

Available 20-30 hours a week, including Saturdays (our busiest day) Comfortable with computers and precise about data entry Steady when the schedule is full, and able to move quickly without cutting corners Able to commit for at least 12 months To apply, you'll complete a short application and two assessments by clicking our application link.
