We are seeking an experienced Optometric Technician who is professional, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering clinical excellence. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a modern, fast-paced practice where quality of care, teamwork, and patient relationships come first. What You'll Do Perform comprehensive patient pre-testing and work-ups Obtain accurate patient histories and document chief complaints Conduct diagnostic testing including: OCT Optos retinal imaging Fundus photography Visual Fields (Humphrey) Corneal Topography Auto-refraction Lensometry Tonometry Prepare patients for examination and assist the doctor during patient care Educate patients regarding procedures, treatment plans, contact lenses, and eyewear recommendations Accurately document findings in our electronic health record (EHR/EMR) Maintain exam rooms and diagnostic equipment to the highest standards Help create a welcoming, luxury patient experience from start to finish Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Optometric Technician, Ophthalmic Technician, or Pretest Technician Experience operating ophthalmic diagnostic equipment Strong understanding of ocular anatomy and common eye conditions Excellent computer and EHR/EMR skills Outstanding communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask while maintaining exceptional attention to detail Preferred Experience in a private optometry or ophthalmology practice Contact lens experience Knowledge of insurance verification and referrals Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required
