Job Description

Front Desk / Optometric Technician (224641-04) This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and is interested in a position that combines front office responsibilities with hands-on patient care. You'll help create a welcoming experience for patients while supporting the doctor with preliminary testing and keeping the day-to-day office flow running smoothly. Hours Full-time, Weds and Sun off. 8:00-5:30 Location Kaimuki, Honolulu, Oahu Pay $19 to $20 an hour Responsibilities Welcome patients and assist them throughout their visit. Perform preliminary vision testing using diagnostic equipment. Confirm insurance coverage and patient payment responsibilities. Prepare and maintain patient records and electronic files. Coordinate appointments and manage the daily schedule. Answer incoming calls and assist with patient questions. Collect copays and other patient payments. Assist patients with selecting frames and completing eyewear purchases. Place eyewear orders and receive completed orders. Organize and maintain office and vendor documentation. Assist with end-of-day procedures and closing responsibilities. Work closely with the doctor and other team members to keep patient visits running efficiently. Qualifications Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with patients. Strong customer service and communication skills. Organized and attentive to details. Comfortable using computers and learning new systems and equipment. Willing to learn, take initiative, and help wherever needed. Prior experience not required, training will be provided.
