Hours:

Monday thru Thursday 8:40 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 8:40 am to 3:00 pm. A few Saturdays a year from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Responsibilities Prepare patients for their eye examinations by taking accurate vital signs, medical history, and performing initial assessments. Operate ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment such as A-scan biometry, tonometry devices, and other ophthalmic diagnostic tools to assist in comprehensive eye exams. Assist with eye refraction procedures and conduct basic ophthalmic patient examinations under the supervision of the optometrist. Manage electronic health records (EHR/Epic) efficiently, ensuring all patient information is accurately documented while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Support patient intake processes by verifying insurance details, updating medical records, and explaining procedures clearly to ensure a smooth visit. Maintain clinical cleanliness and aseptic techniques when handling medical equipment and performing procedures to uphold safety standards. Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions, guiding patients through their visit, and ensuring a welcoming environment aligned with best practices in patient care.
