We are currently seeking a Full-Time Optometric Technician to join our team! This position works closely alongside our doctors to provide outstanding patient care through clinical testing, patient education, and maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the day. No prior optometry experience? No problem! We are happy to train the right candidate who is dependable, eager to learn, and passionate about helping others. Schedule Full-Time Monday-Friday Weekends Off Consistent daytime hours Paid holidays and paid time off available Responsibilities Welcome patients and create a friendly, professional experience from arrival through checkout. Obtain patient medical and vision histories before the doctor's examination. Perform preliminary testing, including: Autorefraction Lensometry Retinal imaging Visual field (FDT) testing Other diagnostic testing as needed Prepare patients for the doctor's examination and communicate findings effectively. Assist our doctors in providing efficient, high-quality patient care while maintaining the daily schedule. Educate patients on recommended treatments, products, and follow-up care. Schedule referrals with ophthalmologists or specialty providers when necessary. Maintain accurate electronic medical records while following HIPAA guidelines. Answer patient phone calls and assist with questions or schedule appointments as appropriate. Help maintain clean, organized exam rooms and clinical equipment. Work collaboratively with the entire team to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Qualifications Friendly, positive, and compassionate personality Strong communication and customer service skills Dependable, punctual, and professional Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working with computers and learning new software Previous medical, optometric, or customer service experience is preferred but not required .
