Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting ophthalmologists in delivering high-quality eye care services. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform preliminary eye examinations, including taking patient histories and measuring visual acuity. Assist with various diagnostic tests and procedures, such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic health record systems. Educate patients on proper eye care practices and post-operative instructions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment. Requirements Previous experience in patient care within a clinical setting is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology is essential. Familiarity with electronic health records systems, is a plus. Understanding of anatomy related to the eye and vision is beneficial. Ability to perform basic retail math. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service in a retail or clinical environment. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
