Grand Rapids, MI Job Details Full-time $17.00 - $18.50 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Employee discount Professional development assistance Qualifications Photography Pre-examination patient preparation Intake Assisting with diagnostic tests and procedures Phone triage Full Job Description Ophthalmic Technician Job Description □ Patient Work-Up including but not limited to: chief complaint, history taking, review of systems, checking visions and dilation, neutralizing glasses □ Refractions □ Testing on patients: Visual Fields, Fundus Photography, OCT's, Topography and Glare Testing □ Scribing with doctors in rooms □ Performing triage for incoming patient phone calls and requests for emergency appointments □ Refill requests for eye drops for patients □ Receiving/Returning patient phone calls, answering questions etc. □ Assisting the doctor with in office procedures □ Performing prior authorization requests for medications □ Manage incoming pharmacy phone calls as needed for refill requests and questions •Willingness to cross-train and assist surgery scheduler when needed required• Work Conditions for Ophthalmic Technician □ Prolonged periods of being on feet □ Constant patient contact during the work day □ 8 hours of computer usage per day
