Mooresville NC optometrist is looking for an experienced optometric assistant and technician with good skills in assisting patients with selecting and the sale of glasses and contact lenses:

• Assist optometrists in providing quality eye care services to patients
• Perform preliminary tests and measurements, such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception
• Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits
• Clean and maintain optical instruments and equipment
• Assist with contact lens fittings and adjustments
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
• Process orders for eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other optical products
• Assist with frame selection and fitting for patients
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation ```Skills```
• Knowledge of electronic medical records system is a plus
• Familiarity with optical terminology and procedures
• Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
• Understanding of senior care needs in relation to eye health
• Strong customer service skills with a background in retail management or sales
• Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness in the laboratory area
• Proficient in retail math calculations for pricing and discounts
