As an Ophthalmic Technician, you'll play an important role in helping our patients achieve their BEST vision—from their initial work-up through their surgical journey. We're looking for someone who is positive, energetic, organized, and passionate about patient care. If you have ophthalmic experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two patients are exactly alike, you may be a great fit for our team! As an Ophthalmic Technician, you'll perform patient work-ups and vision testing, while also assisting our surgeons in our office-based surgery center. Experience with A-Scan biometry, OCT, photography, pachymetry, LenStar, manual refracting, BAT, applanation, and refractive surgery is a plus. Ophthalmic certification is also a plus, but not required. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic who takes pride in doing things well, works collaboratively with others, and understands that great patient care starts with a great team. You'll need to be comfortable multitasking, staying organized, and remaining flexible as clinic needs and hours may vary.

Qualifications:

Requires strong computer, organizational, and communication skills Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate data entry and document clinical information Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment Comfortable learning and utilizing ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and technology Must communicate confidently and professionally with patients and team members Must work well with others and collaborate closely with physicians and surgeons Ability to assist our surgeons in our office-based surgery center Must be dependable, punctual, flexible, and willing to take initiative Position is full-time, 4 days per week Must be available Monday through Thursday, 8:30am-4:30pm, with occasional Fridays High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree strongly preferred Previous ophthalmology or optometry experience required Bilingual candidates preferred
