We are a small practice of two physicians and a staff of twenty-six. We strive for a pleasant work environment and provide a generous benefit package. We are seeking motivated candidates to be considered for our Ophthalmic Assistant position. This position requires someone who possesses a positive, energetic attitude while maintaining professionalism in the work environment. The candidate must also have a strong work ethic and be able to perform efficiently and effectively as a team-player in our busy practice. Two years healthcare experience, preferably in an ophthalmic setting, is preferred. Retina experience - even better! ModMed software experience is a plus. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: History taking Visual acuity measurement Tonometry Visual field testing Instilling ocular medication Enter medical history, exam findings and treatment plan into the patient record as dictated by the physician. Enter applicable CPT codes and ICD-10 codes pertinent to the exam. Perform OCT, Optos Fundus Photos and Angiogram. Assist with minor in office procedures Travel to satellite offices in company van is required We offer a competitive compensation package and pleasant working environment.
