Duties:

• Assist optometrist with patient exams and procedures
• Perform preliminary tests and measurements, such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry
• Obtain patient medical history and input data into electronic medical records system (RevEHR)
• Handle medical billing and coding for insurance claims
• At times may need to manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and greeting patients

Experience:

• Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a similar role desired but not required
• Familiarity with EHR or other electronic medical records systems
• Knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients
