Wednesdays Pay:

$16/hour Glenwood Eyecare is a growing, doctor-owned optometry practice located inside Target Optical in Old Bridge, NJ. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Front Desk Receptionist / Optometric Technician to join our team. No prior optometry experience is required — we are happy to train the right person! Schedule Consistent Wednesday availability is required. This position is currently primarily for Wednesdays, approximately 9:45 AM-6:15 PM. Initial training will take place on some Mondays, Fridays, and/or Saturdays alongside our current team before transitioning to Wednesdays. Availability on other days is a plus for training and occasional coverage. There may also be an opportunity for additional regular hours in the future as the practice grows, but additional days are not guaranteed at this time. Position Overview This is a hybrid front desk and patient-care position.

You will be trained to:

Greet, check in, and assist patients warmly and professionally Answer phones and manage scheduling Confirm appointments and communicate office policies Verify insurance and collect payments Perform patient pretesting and retinal imaging Assist with contact lens training Help with patient checkout and maintain efficient patient flow Assist with office organization, inventory, and daily operations Occasionally help with simple social media/office content What We're Looking For Excellent customer service and communication skills Friendly, professional, and dependable Highly reliable and punctual Strong attention to detail Comfortable multitasking Quick learner with a positive attitude Coachable and open to feedback Able to work independently once fully trained Interested in healthcare, optometry, or patient care Looking for a consistent, long-term position Because we provide significant training, we are looking for someone who can consistently work Wednesdays and commit to the position for at least one year.
