While now recognized as a global fashion brand, MOSCOT remains, at heart, a neighborhood optical shop. As an Optical Finishing Lab Technician with MOSCOT, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Organizing finish lab trays Tracing frame shapes Cutting, grinding, and polishing prescription lenses Mounting lenses into the frames Frame bench alignment Utilize lensometer to check prescription lenses for accuracy Operate and maintain optical finishing equipment Follow cutting procedures while observing company policies, and safety practices Be able to perform calibration and maintenance on equipment Assist with lens inventory while maintaining a clean and organized work environment Collaborate with Lab Operations Manager, Lead Lab Tech, and Coordinator for daily productivity goals Assist with ordering, lens conversions, and lens sorting when needed
Requirements:
Fluent in English, both written and spoken Optical Lab Technical experience preferred - willing to train Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Basic mechanical knowledge Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of weight Helpful to have: Optical background
Schedule:
5 days per week including Sundays 8-hour shift Additional weekend days as needed
