This individual will also cross train as a Patient Coordinator . As an Optometric Technician, you will be responsible for preparing patients for their eye exams and performing diagnostic tests. As a patient coordinator you will help keep patient care flowing efficiently. In both roles you'll play a key role in our commitment to treating every patient like family and maintaining a high standard of excellence in all aspects of care. No experience? No problem! WHAT WE OFFER

Starting wage of $18 per hour , based on education and experience, with commission and bonus opportunities available . Medical and dental coverage after 60 days of employment. 401(k) with a company match after one year. Paid holidays after 90 days of employment. Paid time off.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Assist our optometrists in providing excellent care. Greet and prepare patients for their visit. Gather medical history, take measurements, and conduct preliminary tests. Operate specialized equipment including OCT, retinal camera, and visual field-testing machines. Ensure accurate and thorough documentation. Communicate with patients through our many electronic systems. Provide patients guidance on proper eyewear care and contact lens handling. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of professional ocular equipment.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

High school diploma or equivalent is required . Experience working in a medical setting is preferred but not required . Demonstrated organizational skills and self-motivation. Saturday availability from 8:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. is required. While not mandatory, knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
