Company Overview Ophthalmic Associates of Fort Washington is dedicated to providing exceptional eye care services. Our team is committed to enhancing the vision and health of our patients through advanced technology and compassionate care. Summary We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team in Fort Washington. In this role, you will assist in providing high-quality patient care including performing various ophthalmic testing and imaging. We are a small but very busy office, and we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills to join our team. Responsibilities Perform preliminary eye exams and tests, including measuring visual acuity and taking patient histories. Doctors do their own refractions and iop. Perform testing such as

HVF, OCT, IOL

master, Penticam, fundus photos. Performing heat therapy treatments and contact lens instructions. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care as well as general eye health. Collaborate with the clinical team to enhance patient experience. Requirements Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician helpful. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to ophthalmology. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with EMR required, Officemate/Examwriter or Eyefinity Encompass experience helpful but not required.
