Optometric Technician Gettysburg Eye Care - Gettysburg, PA Full-Time Join Our Family-Centered Private Practice Gettysburg Eye Care is a well established, family-oriented private optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care with compassion, professionalism, and personalized service. We believe that every patient should feel welcomed, respected, and cared for like family. We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Optometric Technician to join our growing team. What You'll Do As an Optometric Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring our patients receive excellent care throughout their visit.
Responsibilities include:
Obtaining patient medical and ocular histories Performing preliminary diagnostic testing, including visual acuity, autorefraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, OCT, visual fields, and other testing as needed Preparing patients for examination by the doctor Documenting findings accurately in the electronic medical record Assisting the doctor during patient care when needed Maintaining examination rooms and equipment Supporting fellow team members to keep the office running efficiently Delivering an exceptional patient experience from check-in to check-out We're Looking For Someone Who Is Friendly, compassionate, and enjoys helping people Professional with excellent communication skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Able to multitask in a busy clinical environment Comfortable learning new technology and diagnostic equipment Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player Committed to providing outstanding customer service Qualifications Previous experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office is preferred Experience as a medical assistant or other healthcare professional will also be considered High school diploma or equivalent required Strong computer skills and the ability to learn electronic medical records Willingness to learn and grow within the practice What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid vacation and holidays Opportunities for professional growth Supportive team environment Modern technology and equipment Stable, full-time employment in a respected private practice Why Gettysburg Eye Care?
