About Us Tylock Nasser Vision is a leading refractive and comprehensive eye care practice using state-of-the-art technology to change the lives of our patients. With more than 30 years of experience serving the North Texas community, our practice has grown from our original Irving location to include a second location in McKinney and a growing team of eye care professionals. Qualifications We are seeking an individual who wants to change people's lives through exceptional patient care.
Anticipates the physician's needs and performs appropriate diagnostic testing, including the use of advanced ophthalmic technology, to provide accurate and helpful information for diagnosis and treatment.
Maintains accurate and complete medical records, including appropriate diagnostic and procedure coding, while protecting patient privacy and maintaining strict confidentiality.
Educates and counsels patients regarding physician instructions, medications and eye drops, contact lens use, treatment recommendations, and questions regarding surgical procedures.
Provides a warm, professional, and compassionate experience for every patient. Treats patients with respect and works to ensure they feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visit.
Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy working environment by following Tylock Nasser Vision policies and procedures and complying with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Keeps clinical supplies properly stocked by monitoring inventory, placing orders as directed, and verifying receipt and appropriate storage of supplies.
Maintains clinical equipment and technology by following operating procedures, troubleshooting appropriately, maintaining necessary supplies, performing routine preventive maintenance, and reporting equipment issues promptly.
Continuously updates job knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities, learning new technology and procedures, and staying current with relevant ophthalmic practices.
Serves and protects the reputation of Tylock Nasser Vision by adhering to professional standards, practice policies and procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Works collaboratively with physicians and all members of the Tylock Nasser Vision team. Takes ownership of responsibilities, identifies opportunities to improve processes, and willingly assists teammates when needed.
Actively promotes the Tylock Nasser Vision patient experience and appropriately encourages satisfied patients to provide reviews and referrals that help us grow our practice and serve more patients.
Completes other tasks, projects, and assignments as reasonably requested by the supervisor or leadership team.

Experience in ophthalmology is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Job Summary The Ophthalmic Technician is an essential member of the Tylock Nasser Vision clinical team. This position works closely with our physicians and other team members to ensure patients receive accurate, efficient, compassionate, and personalized care throughout their visit. The ideal candidate will be comfortable learning new technology, performing diagnostic testing, communicating effectively with patients, and anticipating the needs of our physicians and clinical team. Role and Responsibilities Patient Intake & History Verifies patient information by interviewing patients, recording and updating medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit. Clinical Testing Assesses and documents the condition of the patient's eyes by performing visual acuity, pupil evaluation, extraocular motility, confrontation fields, blood pressure, and other appropriate clinical assessments. Patient Preparation Prepares patients for ophthalmic examinations by performing manifest refractions, dilating pupils, obtaining and documenting pertinent clinical information, and communicating changes or abnormal findings to the physician.Anticipates the physician's needs and performs appropriate diagnostic testing, including the use of advanced ophthalmic technology, to provide accurate and helpful information for diagnosis and treatment.
