• 22 per hour, depending on experience Experience not required Aura Eye Center is a modern, independent optometry practice in Pflugerville looking for a personable and dependable Part-Time Optometric Technician to help provide an exceptional patient experience.

You will work closely with our optometrists and help prepare patients for their examinations, perform diagnostic testing, document patient information, and keep patient flow running efficiently. Previous eye-care experience is preferred, but we are willing to train an exceptional candidate with the right personality, work ethic, and ability to learn. Responsibilities Welcome patients and prepare them for their examination Obtain and document patient medical and ocular history Perform preliminary testing Assist with auto-refraction and other pretesting Perform diagnostic imaging and testing as trained Prepare examination rooms Enter information accurately into the patient's electronic medical record Assist the optometrist with patient flow Clean and prepare equipment between patients Help maintain an organized clinical environment Occasionally assist the front desk when needed We're Looking For Someone Who Is Friendly and comfortable working directly with patients Dependable and punctual Fast learner Detail-oriented Comfortable using computers and medical technology Able to work efficiently in a busy environment Professional and compassionate Interested in eye care and learning new skills Experience Previous experience as an optometric technician, ophthalmic technician, medical assistant, or healthcare technician is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate. Compensation $18
