Job Summary Our client is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician who will be responsible for coordinating comprehensive patient assessments, including gathering detailed medical backgrounds and performing essential diagnostics. The role involves supporting physicians during treatments and maintaining high facility standards to ensure a seamless clinical experience. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments for ocular conditions and pharmacological profiles. Execute clinical diagnostics including sensory-motor evaluations and intraocular pressure monitoring. Assist the physician during laser treatments and minor surgical procedures. Maintain facility standards, sterilize instruments, and manage inventory levels. Resolve technical issues with specialized hardware. Optimize patient throughput and manage appointment recovery efforts. Qualifications High school diploma 1+ year of healthcare or ophthalmic assistant experience CPR Certification Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Certification as an ophthalmic assistant preferred One to Two years' experience as ophthalmic assistant preferred Some college or a degree preferred Skills Ability to work at varying locations Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
