• Job Overview:

• Duties:

• Assist Optometrist with patient care procedures
• Perform preliminary testing such as visual acuities, color vision, and depth perception
• Conduct diagnostic tests including tonometry and visual field testing
• Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits
• Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
• Manage inventory of optical supplies and assist with frame selection
• Schedule appointments and handle billing procedures

• Skills:

• Knowledge of physiology
• Proficiency in retail math for optical sales
• Understanding of vital signs measurement
• Familiarity with optical terminology and products
• Experience in maintaining medical records accurately
• Ability to apply aseptic techniques in clinical settings
• Knowledge of medical coding for insurance billing
• Front desk reception skills in a medical office setting
