Multiple positions available About Us Refocus Eye Associates is a friendly, patient-focused eye care practice with two offices, one in Newport News and one in Williamsburg. We're growing, and we're hiring several dependable, detail-oriented Optometric Technicians to join our team and help us deliver an excellent experience to every patient. What You'll Do Patient care Greet patients and bring them back to the exam room Take case histories and gather preliminary information Run pre-testing, including: Auto-refraction Non-contact tonometry (NCT) Optos retinal imaging Assist the optometrist during the exam and with patient flow Office and insurance Verify patients' vision and medical insurance before appointments File and submit insurance claims Handle general front-office work: scheduling, answering phones, checking patients in and out, and keeping records up to date What We're Looking For Friendly and professional, with strong communication skills Organized and detail-oriented, and able to handle several tasks at once Comfortable with computers and learning new software Reliable and punctual, and a good team player Reliable transportation and willingness to work at both our Newport News and Williamsburg offices, depending on the schedule Experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or a medical office is a plus, but we'll train the right people Why Join Us Pay that grows with your experience and skills Paid on-the-job training A supportive team in a growing practice Room to grow your skills in eye care How to Apply Send your resume to .
