We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Clinical Research Imaging Specialist to join our growing research team. This position plays a critical role in the successful execution of clinical trials by acquiring, processing, and submitting high-quality ophthalmic images in accordance with sponsor protocols and industry standards. The Role and Responsibilities Our Clinical Research Imaging Specialist is a self-sufficient and organized medical professional responsible for performing ophthalmic imaging procedures for research participants enrolled in clinical trials. The successful candidate will work closely with providers (investigators), study coordinators, and sponsors to provide imaging quality, protocol compliance, and timely submission of images to central reading centers. Each clinical trial requires a series of imaging certifications to be obtained according to your study role. The following is a list of ophthalmic imaging you will be performing:

• Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
• OCT Angiography (OCTA)
• Color Fundus Photography
• Fundus Autofluorescence (FAF)
• Fluorescence Angiography (FA)
• Indocyanine Green Angiography (ICGA), when applicable Other tasks include device maintenance, calibration, data management, and other clinical trial related projects.

This position is best suited for ophthalmic ancillary technicians who work well independently and have experience taking high-quality images with the desire to enter the field of clinical research. Other Tasks Filling out source documentation Assisting study monitors with data review and query resolution Ensure all imaging is performed according to study protocol and sponsor requirements Upload and submit images to central reading centers within required timelines Maintain image quality standards and resolve image queries from reading centers Prepare and calibrate imaging equipment according to manufacturer specifications Maintain equipment logs and quality control documentation Assist with participant scheduling and workflow coordination Maintain accurate source documentation and electronic records Support sponsor monitoring visits, audits, and regulatory inspections Collaborate with investigators and clinical research coordinators to ensure protocols compliance Participate in sponsor-required imaging certifications and ongoing training Maintain confidentiality and comply with

HIPPA, FDA

regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, and institutional SOPs Acquiring additional skills as needed to perform the study Performing additional duties when necessary

Who You Are Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years experience in ophthalmic imaging Strong computer and electronic documentation skills Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and sponsors Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills High School Diploma, GED, or higher (preferred healthcare related) Driver's License Preferred Qualifications (not required): Clinical research experience Experience with sponsor imaging portals and central reading centers Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) Experience with Heidelberg, Zeiss, Optos, Topcon, or similar retinal imaging platforms Current ICH-GCP certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Proficiency with Google Suites and Microsoft Office Desired Skills

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in an office and clinical setting and requires regular and physical exertion such as walking, bending, recurrent standing and occasional lifting (under 25lbs). The work requires mild physical characteristics and abilities and dexterity needed to perform intricate medical procedures. The position may also require assisting geriatric and/or disabled patients. The incumbent must have normal color vision and be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomfort associated with working in a clinical environment with regular and recurring exposure to hazards such as bodily fluids including blood, urine, saliva, intraocular fluid, and tears, solutions, electrical appliances. The work performed may involve contact with other risks that require special health and safety precautions such as blood born pathogens or contagions. The incumbent takes special safety precautions and must use protective devices such as gloves, surgical masks, and/or safety shields in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
