Ophthalmic Technician Virginia Pediatric Eye Center Virginia Beach, VA Job Details Full-time $18 - $21 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Spanish Anatomy knowledge Contact lens dispensing Ophthalmology Medical scheduling High school diploma or GED Experience working with children Performing background checks Allscripts Full Job Description Virginia Pediatric Eye Center is looking for qualified applicants who enjoy working with children and have experience in Ophthalmology or Optometry working as an Ophthalmic Tech or Ophthalmic Assistant. Knowledge of exam flow, contact lenses and specialty testing, such as visual fields, OCT and imaging will be needed. Applicants should have basic knowledge of ophthalmic anatomy and terminology, experience working up patients before an exam, ability to establish rapport with children and their parents, good communication and computer skills, experience using EMR's, and a strong work ethic. Experience scheduling in Allscripts PM is a plus. Position is full-time. Background check is required. Salary is dependent upon experience.
