This opening is a unique opportunity to work in our ASC and Clinic. The position is #4- 10 hour shifts. The schedule will be 3 days clinic and 1 day ASC.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing patients for eye exams, including obtaining medical histories, measuring visual acuity, and performing preliminary diagnostic tests such as tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging. Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment such as autorefractors, slit lamps, and fundus cameras. Support the ophthalmologist by documenting exam results, charting patient information, and providing accurate reports. Educate patients about pre and post-operative care, as well as general eye health. Ensure patient comfort and provide a friendly, professional environment. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of exam rooms.

ASC duties:

Circulating and Instrument reprocessing

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's degree, Medical Assistant Certification or certification in ophthalmic technology preferred. Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician or in a similar medical role is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to handle medical equipment with care. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
