F/T or P/T Medical Administrative Assistant/Optometric Technician at a professional independent Optometry office A professional, patient-focused optometry practice with two locations in Bothell and Woodinville is looking for a Full-Time or Part-Time Medical Administrative Assistant / Optometric Technician . This position requires the ability to commute between both locations . We are seeking a warm, engaging, and dependable individual who enjoys working with people and providing excellent patient care. No prior optometry experience is required — we are happy to train the right candidate. Retail or customer service experience is a strong plus. We are looking for an individual with: A warm, engaging, friendly, professional personality to greet and help patients. No experience required but Retail/Customer Service experience is a BIG plus. We are willing to train otherwise. Must be able to multitask, problem solve and be detail oriented. Must be able to work independently and also cohesively with fellow team members in the office. Must have at least 1 year of post high school education or work experience.
Basic Job Description:
Receive incoming telephone calls and place calls Schedule and reschedule appointments Obtain preauthorization for services and procedures when necessary from insurance companies Greet patients in a friendly professional manner Prepare and post transactions on digital daily log and account ledger Collect payments from patients Maintain contact lens trials orders and train patients on proper insertion, removal, and contact lens hygiene Help with patient pre-examination testing (training will be provided) Perform diagnostic testing for comprehensive eye exams Perform patient intake and maintain detailed patient records Help with ophthalmic dispensing of eyewear and frames (training will be provided) The vision of our practice is to provide a place that is warm, fun and engaging for our employees to work at.
