Would you enjoy an early start to the weekend? We are three independent optometry practices interested in hiring a FRIENDLY, organized, and responsible "people person" to join our Sheboygan team. Experience in optical, medicine and/or insurance is a plus, but we will train the right person. This position is full-time which is about 35 hours per week. The clinic closes at 1 pm on Fridays.

Optometric Technician Responsibilities:

Welcoming and preparing patients for their eye examinations. Obtaining and documenting complete health, ocular, medical, medication, and allergy histories using our electronic health record system. Taking and recording vital signs. Learning and performing specialized diagnostic testing, including Visual Field testing and OCT imaging. Assisting the optometrist with examinations and clinical procedures. Accurately entering clinical findings and test results into the electronic health records system. Maintaining clean, organized, and properly stocked examination and testing areas. Ensuring ophthalmic equipment and clinical supplies are properly maintained, calibrated, and stocked. Following HIPAA requirements and all applicable privacy, safety, and infection-control procedures. Assisting with patient flow and other clinical or administrative duties as needed.

Frame Stylist Responsibilities:

Helping patients select frames based on prescription requirements, fit, lifestyle, and personal preferences. Providing knowledgeable and personalized eyewear recommendations. Taking and recording appropriate measurements for eyewear. Reading spectacle prescriptions using a lensometer. Dispensing completed eyeglasses and ensuring proper fit and comfort. Performing minor frame adjustments and repairs. Ordering and dispensing contact lenses. Assisting patients with contact lens-related questions and education. Following up with patients and coordinating with optical laboratories and suppliers as needed. Maintaining an organized, attractive, and well-stocked optical area.

Pay:

From $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 35.0 per week
