Well established and growing Optometry practice in Dunbar, WV is hiring an Optometric Technician / Pre-Tester to assist patients in the practice. Experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities Greet patients in a friendly and polite manner. Assist patients with requests in office and on the phone. Open communication with patient, Doctor, and other staff. Assist the Doctor with pre-test and special testing based on the visit purpose. Data entry of patient demographics and social, medical, and prescription history Educate patients about testing / services offered. Maintain clean and orderly office environment. Contribute to practice growth goals and objectives by exemplifying excellent patient service and care. Ability to work as a team and handle multiple patients' tasks. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 1-2 years of sales experience or medical assistant experience preferred Excellent verbal communication skills Excellent computer skills Strong orientation towards providing excellent customer service. Basic math skills High attention to detail Ability to maintain a professional appearance. Position Details Full Time Monday -Friday Hourly Pay - based on experience. Training and education program to develop the right candidate.
