Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an Optical Manager to oversee the daily operations of our optical department. This role requires a blend of skills in sales, orders, management and inventory management. Duties Assist patients with frame and lens selections: recommending frames based on aesthetics and functionality, explaining insurance benefits, and educating patients on technical aspects of ophthalmic lenses.
Managing glasses orders:
submitting orders with ophthalmic labs, entering orders into insurance portals, preparing and shipping frames to ophthalmic labs, monitoring order progress, verifying glasses once received. It is important to maintain organization and efficiency in this process of managing orders.
Oversee frame inventory:
working with clinic administration and frame manufacturers to order new frame styles, maintain current styles and stock, and exchange discontinued frame lines. Skill Sets Experience in an optical setting is preferred but not necessary Candidates should be proficient with basic mental math in order to discuss purchase options and pricing Attention to detail is critical to avoid ordering errors. Glasses orders can be technical and care must be taken to ensure all details for the order are accounted for and accurate. Capable of establishing personal connections with patients while assisting with frame and lens selection. Comfortable working with pediatric patients Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities Apply to join our team as an Optical Manager where your expertise will contribute to enhancing patient care and driving the success of our optical department.
