About the Position We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused team member to join our growing optical practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to build a career in eye care. No optical experience is required—we provide paid training to become an optician. As the first person our patients meet, you'll create a welcoming experience while learning the skills needed to assist patients with selecting eyewear, understanding lens options, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Welcome and check in patients with a friendly, professional attitude. Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments. Verify and update patient information. Collect payments and process transactions. Maintain a clean, organized reception and optical area. Assist patients with frame selection and basic eyewear adjustments. Learn about lenses, coatings, and eyewear products. Help with ordering, receiving, and dispensing eyeglasses. Work closely with doctors and team members to ensure an outstanding patient experience. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in optical sales and dispensing (preferred, not necessary) Friendly, outgoing, professional, and genuinely enjoys working with people Confident recommending premium products while maintaining a patient-first approach Knowledgeable about progressive lenses, high-index lenses, lens coatings, and specialty lens options Comfortable working with vision insurance and explaining benefits to patients Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills A strong communicator who can build trust quickly Motivated to grow personally and professionally A team player who takes ownership and pride in their work Experience with OfficeMate is a plus. Optician certification/licensure is a plus but not required for the right candidate. Why Join Jamboree Optometry?
