We're looking for an Optometric Assistant to join our private practice in Firestone ! We're seeking someone who is flexible, dependable, and willing to jump in wherever needed. This role involves a variety of responsibilities throughout the office, so we're looking for a team member who enjoys learning new things and helping wherever they can. Our office culture is extremely important to us. We're proud of our hardworking, supportive, and positive team, and we're looking for someone who will bring that same energy to the practice. Responsibilities will include:
Scheduling appointments and answering phones as needed Pre-testing patients before they see the doctor Assisting in optical with glasses; making adjustments/repairs, frame selection, etc. Insurance verification and helping patients understand their coverage Other miscellaneous tasks to assist the doctor Skills we are looking for: Willingness to learn Detail oriented Positive attitude Exceptional customer service Bilingual (English/Spanish) - not required but preferred Previous experience in the optical industry is preferred but not required. This is starting as a four day/week position (Monday-Thursday) with up to 36 hours/week. There is potential for growth within this position and potential bonuses based on performance.
