In person About the Position Johnson Eyecare is looking for a dependable, motivated, and friendly individual to join our team as an Optical Associate/Optician . Previous experience in an optometric or optical setting is preferred, but not required . We are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and enjoys working with people. This position plays an important role in helping our patients have a positive experience in our office. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities Responsibilities include:

Assisting patients with selecting eyeglass frames Educating patients on lens materials, options, and coatings Taking appropriate measurements for eyewear Ordering eyeglasses and ensuring orders are entered accurately Assisting with adjustments and other optical needs Answering incoming phone calls and assisting patients with questions Performing general clerical and administrative duties as needed Maintaining an organized and welcoming optical area Providing friendly, professional customer service to our patients Assisting other team members as needed to keep the office running smoothly Assisting in helping clean office Traveling to both locations (both in Davenport) Qualifications Previous optical or optometric experience is preferred, but not required Strong customer service and communication skills Dependable and punctual Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable learning new skills and computer systems Ability to multitask in a busy office environment Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team Benefits Paid time off Employee discount On-the-job training Supportive, team-oriented work environment Pay is based on previous experience and qualifications.
