Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm and Friday 8am-3:30pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
Optician job responsibilities include: Help patients select frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and budget Educate patients on eyewear and lens options Take measurements to ensure proper fit and vision (training provided) Place and track eyewear orders Dispense, adjust, and perform minor repairs on eyewear Verify insurance and vision benefits when applicable Maintain an organized and attractive optical showroom Work closely with doctors and staff to provide an excellent patient experience Answer patient questions and resolve concerns professionally Accurately document information in our computer systems
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to learn technical information and explain it clearly to patients Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks Basic computer skills and ability to learn EHR and optical software Ability to provide exceptional patient service while maintaining accuracy Preferred Qualifications Previous optical experience Experience in retail sales, healthcare, customer service, or a patient-facing role Experience working with insurance benefits Knowledge of eyewear products, lens options and frame styling No optical experience? We will train the right candidate on lens options, measurements, adjustments, and insurance processes.
