Duties Assist patients in selecting, fitting, and adjusting eyeglasses ensure optimal comfort and vision correction Explaining lens options, frame styles, and lens coatings tailored to individual needs Teaching contact lens insertion and removal for first time wearers. Perform lensometry to verify proper prescriptions Managing electronic health records (EHR) Help maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and accessories, ensuring proper storage and stock levels Pretesting patients, which includes: Visual field tsting, autorefraction, fundus photos, lensometry Educate patients on eye health maintenance, including basic eye care tips and the importance of regular check-ups Qualifications Experience working as an optician or in a related optical field is required Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and vision correction procedures Excellent patient communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding patient care
