Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Optician to join our team. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional eye care services to our clients. This position requires a strong knowledge of optics, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Assist clients in selecting and fitting eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids
• Take accurate measurements of clients' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit
• Interpret prescriptions written by optometrists or ophthalmologists
• Educate clients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
• Adjust frames and lenses to ensure optimal comfort and vision correction
• Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses
• Maintain accurate records of client information and transactions
• Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide comprehensive eye care services

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Optician is preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of optics, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic technique
• Familiarity with optical systems and laboratory procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients of all ages
• Proficient in retail math for pricing and billing purposes
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in retail sales or retail management is a plus
