Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of eye care and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. As an Optician, you will be responsible for assisting patients in selecting eyewear, fitting and adjusting glasses, and ensuring that all optical prescriptions are accurately fulfilled. The office is open Monday thru Thursday 840am to 5pm and Fridays 840am to 3pm. There are a few Saturdays a year from 830am to 1230pm. Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs and preferences. Measure patients' eyes for proper fit and alignment of lenses. Interpret optical prescriptions from eye care professionals. Fit, adjust, and repair eyeglasses and contact lenses as needed. Teach patients how to use contact lenses. Maintain accurate medical records for all patient interactions. Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory and sales effectively
