Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Optical Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Shreveport, LA. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys helping people, has strong retail customer service skills, and is interested in growing within a healthcare services environment. As an Optical Clerk, you will assist patients with selecting eyewear, explaining lens options, processing orders, and supporting daily optical department operations. This position offers the opportunity to learn optical products and procedures while working in a professional, patient-focused setting with supportive leadership, positive teamwork, and room to build valuable healthcare customer service experience. Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and provide professional, courteous customer service throughout the eyewear selection process.
- Assist customers with choosing frames, understanding lens options, reviewing pricing, and selecting available optical products.
- Enter prescriptions, measurements, customer information, and eyewear orders accurately into the system.
- Receive, organize, inspect, fit, and adjust optical products as needed.
- Process payments, maintain sales records, schedule appointments, and answer phone inquiries.
- Support insurance verification, protect patient privacy, and maintain a clean and organized optical area. Compensation and Benefits

$15.00 to $17.00 per hour.Job Type:
