Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients in selecting eyewear, fitting and adjusting glasses, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of optical products and services, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and senior care. Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that meet their vision needs and personal style. Conduct fittings and adjustments for eyewear to ensure proper fit and comfort. Educate patients on the proper care and use of their eyewear. Maintain accurate patient records, including prescriptions and medical history, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Process sales transactions accurately using retail math skills. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Stay informed about new optical products, trends, and technologies in the industry. Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience and loyalty. Qualifications Previous experience as an Optician or in a related field is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology is a plus. Strong retail sales experience with a focus on customer service excellence. Familiarity with retail management practices is advantageous. Ability to handle medical records with confidentiality and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse patient populations. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
