About Us We are a brand-new, locally owned optometry practice in Bend. Dr. Ulrich is an Oregon native who has been practicing optometry for 7 years and opened Deschutes Eyecare in August 2026. We designed our office to feel modern and boutique, but never stuffy or clinical. We want our patients to feel comfortable the moment they walk through the door—and our team to feel the same way. For us, it's all about the patient experience. From the first hello at the front desk, to pre-testing, the exam, and helping patients with their optical needs, every interaction matters. We want people to leave thinking, "That was such a great experience." Our goal is simple: make a great first impression and turn first-time patients into lifelong patients. Because we're a new practice, you'll have the opportunity to help shape our culture and patient experience from the ground up. If you're friendly, dependable, enjoy working with people, and want to be part of building something special—we'd love to meet you!
