Doctor's Assistant (Part Time) will Train Pacific Eye Group, P.C. - 2.5 Happy Valley, OR Job Details Part-time $18 - $19 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee assistance program Qualifications Sales Filing Scanning Medical scheduling High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Schedule appointments, verify insurance coverage, maintain accurate patient records, and assist with preliminary testing under the Optometrist's supervision. Educate patients on lens insertion and removal and overall care of contact lenses. Able to effectively sell and meet or exceed all sales goals. Experience preferred but will train.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper patient flow
  • Ensure appointments are scheduled according to resource scheduling guidelines
  • Check patients in and out, maintain patient records, collect payments, monitor and perform other front desk tasks as needed
  • Verify insurances for current day appointments and future dates
  • Process all online contact lens vendor requests from fax and phone
  • Confirm next day appointments
  • Call all no-shows from same day
  • Pull paperwork from the portal for the next day
  • Scan charts daily. File and scan communication letters from Ophthalmologists, referral visits, and patient's complete paper chart into the EMR
  • Follow contact lens ordering and selling process
  • (see separate sheet)
  • Call and schedule CL patients for pickup/follow up
  • Maintain CL stock trials and solutions
  • Maintain contact lens revenue inventory
  • Educate patients on lens insertion and removal and overall care of contact lenses
  • Call on all "year out" appointments for the day
  • Make recalls and mail recall post cards
  • Check store regular mailbox, process mail and check email daily.
  • Office closing duties—paperwork, process deposits, etc.
  • Clean all the sinks and counter/tabletops, vacuum, empty trash cans
  • Turn off all equipment and cover all instruments
  • Order doctor office supplies, Amcon, business cards and post cards
  • Work on insurance exceptions
Education:
  • One (1) year of related experience
  • Optical preferred but will train
  • HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
