Shannon Vision Care is looking for a full-time Optician to join our team! Minimum 2 years of previous optician / optical experience is required.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit their visual needs, lifestyle, and budget Educating patients on lens options, coatings, specialty products, and vision benefits Measuring and fitting eyewear for proper comfort and vision Adjusting, repairing, and troubleshooting eyeglasses Ordering, dispensing, and verifying eyewear Verifying vision insurance benefits and explaining coverage to patients Processing optical orders accurately and efficiently Maintaining an organized, attractive optical gallery Providing outstanding customer service before, during, and after the sale Assisting with patient flow throughout the day Cross-training in other areas of the office as needed What we're looking for The ideal candidate is: Reliable and punctual Friendly, outgoing, and confident working with patients Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable in a fast-paced environment Able to multitask and prioritize competing demands Coachable and open to feedback Team-oriented and willing to help others Professional and compassionate with patients Comfortable discussing premium lens options and recommending products that genuinely benefit patients Able to take ownership of mistakes and learn from them We value professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Qualifications Required:

2+ years of optician / optical experience ABO certification (preferred but not required) Experience with frame styling, lens recommendations, and eyewear dispensing Strong computer skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team

From $19.00 per hour
