Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assess their optical needs through engaging conversations and professional guidance Dispense spectacle lenses accurately, including fitting, adjusting, and verifying prescriptions using optical laboratory equipment Conduct eyewear fittings and frame adjustments to ensure comfort and optimal vision correction Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and proper eyewear care while explaining medical terminology clearly Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, process payments securely, and handle cash register operations Maintain detailed records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems following clinical confidentiality policies Support laboratory processes by assisting with optical lab work, including lens inspection and adhering to aseptic techniques when necessary Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions about ophthalmology topics such as anatomy, physiology, and vision correction options Assist with inventory management of eyewear frames, lenses, and accessories to ensure product availability

•These areas will provided initial increased pay Proven experience in optical retail sales or retail optometry environments with a strong understanding of optics and ophthalmology fundamentals is Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health, anatomy, physiology, and ophthalmology procedures Familiarity with optical laboratory equipment and processes such as spectacle lens dispensing and eyewear frame adjustment Experience operating POS systems, cash registers, and EMR/EHR platforms with attention to detail in medical coding and record keeping Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for prescriptions, pricing, and inventory management Understanding of HIPAA regulations, clinical confidentiality policies, and health regulation policies applicable to healthcare settings Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex medical concepts clearly and professionally Knowledge of pediatric care considerations within optometry is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a medical environment while maintaining accuracy in all tasks Join us to make a difference in people's lives by improving their vision! Pay:

$15.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 32.0 per week
