Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position includes a unique mix of healthcare and sales. Combines your fashion sense, and outgoing personality. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Greeting patients and all visitors Frame consultation and sales Reading and understanding medical and vision insurance benefits Lens edging, frame adjustment and repair Verifying glasses with lensometry knowledge Contact lens training Assisting doctors and other staff Checking in inventory Data input Participation in office training programs for career and self-development Making daily phone calls The ideal candidate must possess: A personable, dynamic personality with a caring nature towards helping others. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both as a team member and independently. Being detail oriented with the ability to multi-task is a must, as well as wanting to continue to learn and develop as an optician. Experience not required as we are happy to train for the right individual.
Skills and Qualifications:
Must be willing to work towards ABO optician certification over time. High school diploma or Associates preferred. Computer skills with Mac computers are a must. Apply now by sending us your: cover letter, resume and references.
