Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of eye diseases and disorders. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This will be part-time and full-time position within our mobile clinic. Valid drivers license and auto insurance are required. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. Prescribe corrective lenses and other visual aids based on patient needs. Diagnose and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal disorders. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide patient education on eye health, preventive care, and proper use of eyewear. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient management. Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to the visual system. Proficiency in optical principles and ophthalmology practices. Familiarity with medical coding and maintaining medical records. Excellent customer service skills to enhance patient experience. Experience working with pediatrics is a plus. Sales skills to effectively recommend eyewear products to patients. Aseptic technique knowledge for maintaining a sterile environment during examinations.
