Join our established practice in Los Angeles, where you'll work closely with Dr. Amir Moarefi and Dr. Uday Devgan to guide patients through their vision correction journey with white-glove service. The Role You'll conduct comprehensive pre-operative consultations, performing diagnostic assessments and counseling patients on LASIK, SMILE, PRK, ICL, and corneal crosslinking options. You'll manage post-operative follow-ups at critical intervals, monitoring outcomes and addressing patient concerns. This role offers clinical autonomy within a collaborative, physician-present environment where your expertise, strong consultation skills, and patient advocacy directly impact satisfaction and surgical success. You'll be instrumental in educating patients about premium treatment options and guiding them toward the best vision outcomes for their lifestyle. What You'll Do Conduct detailed suitability assessments and consultations with exceptional customer service Perform pre-operative and post-operative diagnostic testing and exams Educate patients about procedures, realistic expectations, and premium lens/treatment options Build strong patient relationships and follow their care journey Collaborate with surgeons on complex cases and clinical decisions Diagnose and manage corneal conditions, including keratoconus Respond promptly and professionally to patient questions and concerns Who You Are OD with current California optometry license 2+ years clinical optometry experience (refractive surgery experience preferred but not required—training provided) Strong refraction, communication, and consultation skills Excellent patient service orientation and ability to work in a high-end environment Comfortable with EHR systems (ModMed experience a plus) Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and genuinely patient-focused Able to work collaboratively and independently
