About the Role As an Optometrist at IQ Laser Vision, you'll play a vital role in providing comprehensive eye care while guiding patients through their vision correction journey. You'll perform comprehensive eye examinations, evaluate candidacy for procedures such as
LASIK, ZEISS SMILE, EVO
ICL, and Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) , and provide pre- and post-operative care to ensure outstanding clinical outcomes. Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive eye exams to diagnose vision issues and detect eye diseases Conduct procedures including manifest refractions, intraocular pressure (IOP) testing, dilated fundus exams (DFE), cycloplegic refractions, and gonioscopy Analyze diagnostic test results to create customized treatment plans Administer and prescribe medications to assist in diagnosis and treat certain ocular conditions Offer pre- and post-operative care for refractive surgery patients and others undergoing ocular procedures Identify ocular manifestations of systemic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) and refer patients to other healthcare providers as necessary Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure high-quality patient care Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be fluent in both English & Spanish or English & Vietnamese Willingness to travel between our Santa Clara and San Ramon offices Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and current California licensure Refractive surgery management based on refractive surgery management experience.
