The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of various eye conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care in our local community-oriented office. The Optometrist will also engage in patient education regarding eye health and vision correction options. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and diseases. Prescribe corrective lenses, including glasses and contact lenses. Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular check-ups. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Assist with optical sales by recommending appropriate eyewear based on patient needs. Skills The successful candidate should possess the following skills: Strong patient care skills with a focus on providing exceptional service Familiarity with medical coding for accurate billing and insurance processing Excellent customer service skills to enhance patient experience.
