Competitive salary + production bonus About Us Total Eye Care Centers is a multi-location ophthalmology group serving patients across New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. Our Bucks County offices offer full-scope primary eye care alongside on-site subspecialty ophthalmology, giving our optometrists direct access to surgical colleagues for co-management and consultation. Position Summary We are hiring a full-time optometrist to provide comprehensive primary eye care at our Newtown and Langhorne offices. This is a clinical role with a well-supported patient flow: dedicated technician support, in-house optical, modern diagnostic imaging, and an established referral relationship with our ophthalmology team. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive eye examinations, refractions, and contact lens fittings and follow-up. Diagnose and manage ocular disease within the scope of the Pennsylvania Optometric Practice and Licensure Act, including glaucoma, dry eye, ocular surface disease, diabetic eye disease, and anterior segment conditions. Prescribe and manage therapeutic pharmaceutical agents consistent with TPA certification and Pennsylvania scope of practice. Interpret in-office diagnostic testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, topography). Co-manage surgical patients with our ophthalmologists, including cataract, refractive, oculoplastic, and retina referrals; provide pre- and post-operative care as clinically appropriate. Complete accurate, timely documentation in the EHR and support clean coding and charge capture. Participate in patient education, optical collaboration, and clinical quality initiatives. Maintain patient privacy and security practices consistent with HIPAA and practice policy. Required Qualifications Doctor of Optometry from an accredited school or college of optometry. Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania optometry license, or license eligibility with licensure secured before start date (Pennsylvania State Board of Optometry). Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent (TPA) certification in Pennsylvania. Ability to enroll and remain in good standing with Medicare, Pennsylvania Medical Assistance, and commercial payers; no exclusion from federal or state health care programs. Reliable ability to travel to the Newtown and Langhorne offices. Preferred Qualifications Residency training or two or more years of practice experience in a medical or surgical eye care setting. Experience with surgical co-management and interdisciplinary referral. Comfort with a high-volume, diverse patient population, including pediatric and Medical Assistance patients. Spanish or other second-language fluency. Schedule This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. Preferred provider schedule will include some evening hours, along with weekend availability.
